"Work is a human thing. Let's treat each other that way."
A favorite author of mine, Kelley Eskridge, has started a new and vital program. It's called Humans at Work, and is designed to help people manage people better.
Here are a couple of segments from her website:
"Nearly 33 million people in the US would fire their boss if they could. The research is clear -- "engaged employees consider their relationship with their manager to be crucial to their success." (Gallup, 2007)"
"The Humans At WorkSM program teaches new managers the fundamental skills of managing human beings. It's full of practical tools, models and skills you can apply immediately at work."
I've had conversations with Kelley, and this program is pretty amazing. It's for big companies, small organizations, schools, churches, groups of people working together...anyone. If you or anyone you know is in a situation where people have to manage others [which pretty much encompasses all of us], this new organization has been formed to help. You can have someone from the organization help, or you can do it yourself.
Please, check this out.
Spread the word.
Maybe we'll all be a little happier as a result.
